Belarusian citizen Vyacheslav Piskunov was detained for an attempt on the life of a Russian serviceman in Dzhankoy, where the Belarusian had planted an explosive device under the bottom of a Chevrolet Aveo the day before. This was reported today, September 24, by the Baza telegram channel.
According to him, the assassination attempt took place on September 23; a Chevrolet Aveo, owned by a serviceman, was blown up using an IED weighing 500 grams of TNT. No harm done.
Investigators have determined that a 61-year-old man may have been involved in the explosion. Vyacheslav Piskunov – citizen of Belarus, registered in the Czech Republic and living in Sevastopol.
Law enforcement officers conducted a search and found a whole cache in Sevastopol belonging to Piskunov, which contained electric detonators, almost 2 kg of hexogen, a submachine gun and 138 rounds of ammunition.
According to the Investigative Committee, Piskunov assembled an IED from available components on September 20 and installed a bomb on the serviceman’s car. The citizen of Belarus confessed. He is detained.
Three criminal cases were opened against Piskunov at once: under Part 3 of Art. 30, paragraph “e”, part 2, art. 105 (attempted murder), part 1 of Art. 222.1, (illegal arms trafficking), part 2 of Art. 167 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentional damage to someone else’s property).
Other public pages report that security forces found Piskunov’s cache of ammunition in the warehouse of Carter-Yug LLC in Sevastopol.
As previously reported, on the afternoon of September 23, a bomb planted under the bottom of a Chevrolet Aveo detonated near the house where the serviceman lives.
