TV Tokyo’s new logo
TV Tokyo has renewed its brand mark (logo) for the first time in 25 years. This will change from November 13th. The new catchphrase has also been decided as “For a slightly better tomorrow.”
TV Tokyo (then Tokyo Channel 12), which began broadcasting in 1964, will celebrate its 60th anniversary in April 2024. The brand mark has been updated to coincide with the company’s 60th anniversary, and the design reflects TV Tokyo’s newly created corporate philosophy.
Furthermore, BS TV Tokyo has also renewed its brand mark and corporate philosophy to match TV Tokyo. “While utilizing TV Tokyo’s content, we will also expand the circle of “slightly conscious BS TV Tokyo fans” with programs that have a slightly different, sometimes maniacal taste.”

The previous brand mark was created in 1998 and was written in English, but on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the station’s opening, we decided to make the name “TV Tokyo”, which has become familiar to viewers, into a brand mark. “I did.”
Changes in the TV Tokyo logo
The red part at the bottom left of “TE” is an arrow with the motif of the number “7” (TV Tokyo’s channel is 7). “It expresses our commitment to providing the following.”
The color follows the combination of red and blue that is the current brand mark, and the color is TV Tokyo Red, which represents “the desire to deeply reach each and every person in a warm and sometimes passionate manner,” and “TV Tokyo Red, which conveys the feeling of deeply reaching out to each and every person,” and “to convey trust to viewers and partners.” The color has been changed to TV Tokyo Blue, which represents the desire to be a valued presence.
The tagline (catchphrase) “For a slightly better tomorrow.” is “By creating something interesting that hasn’t been seen before and deeply delivering content that warms and warms the heart, we want to lead to a better tomorrow, even if just a little bit.” It contains the “thoughts” of our new corporate philosophy (purpose and mission).”
In addition, a version commemorating the 60th anniversary of TV Tokyo’s banana employee “Nanana” will be released.

[Comment from Ichiro Ishikawa, President and Representative Director of TV Tokyo Holdings]
As we celebrate our 60th anniversary in April next year, young employees gathered together to discuss the future of TV Tokyo for a year and a half, and created a new logo along with our purpose, mission, and values.
In addition, we have decided to take this opportunity to make the name “TV Tokyo,” which everyone is using, an official “brand name.”
Please continue to look forward to “TV Tokyo”.
