The early access success of Sons of the Forest did not overshadow the previous game by Endnight Games, The Forest. Despite its release in 2018, this sandbox survival horror FPP still attracts new players. In fact, they like it, as evidenced by the “overwhelmingly positive” recent reviews on Steam. They constitute 95% of approx. 4 thousand. opinions added in the last 30 days (the overall percentage is the same with over 496,000 entries).
Judging by the activity of The Forest players on Valve’s platform over the course of four days, there may soon be even more positive reviews of this production. The best moment last Friday was it is running on the computers of 44,365 Steam users. On Saturday and Sunday, an even better result was recorded – 71,470 and 78,097 people, respectively.
Interestingly, in the previous days the number of simultaneous players of The Forest on Steam was around 4,000-5,000. It seems that this increase was due – at least in part – to a large promotion that started on Thursday at 7 p.m. Polish time.
As part of it, The Forest can be purchased on Valve’s platform for only PLN 17.99. This is not the historically lowest price – it is a record one was available in November 2022 and amounted to PLN 16.55 – but it is difficult to consider it excessive for a game where you can play with friends for dozens of hours.

The Forest for PLN 17.99 on Steam
The Forest is undoubtedly a great alternative for people for whom the newer Sons of the Forest is still too expensive (this title is on sale costs PLN 111.19; it is also worth adding that it has recently received a major update). These games are very similar in terms of gameplay – in both we fight for survival in a forest full of secrets, facing monsters using weapons we find and create ourselves. The fun is even more fun when we play in cooperation mode – especially with friends who can turn even the most terrifying situations into a joke.
