Regarding the second dose, the health portfolio highlights 30.8% coverage in the national territory.
Likewise, the coverage table shared on the official MSPAS website indicates that 92,450 people have been vaccinated. These vaccines have benefited residents of the 22 departments of the country.
To receive the vaccine
According to what the MSPAS points out, among the requirements to opt for the vaccine is that the person is within the permitted age range. For the second dose, health experts mention that this scheme must be completed before turning 16 years old.
In addition, the minor who is going to receive the vaccine must attend accompanied by the father, mother or other legally responsible person.
Vaccines are available at any public health center or post, so Guatemalans are urged to visit them and acquire the corresponding dose.
In addition to fighting HPV, this vaccine prevents added complications from cervical cancer.
Finally, these actions are carried out in compliance with the instructions of the central government to ensure the health of Guatemalans.
