Smaller children are also thought of, offering an interactive memory game “Find the same”, in which you have to find pictures on the topics of the environment, passenger safety and comfort of the Rail Baltica project.
Visitors are also invited to familiarize themselves with the museum’s new offer “Time to board the train”. Every weekday at 3:45 p.m. and on Thursday evenings at 6:45 p.m., the Latvian Railway History Museum offers a closer look at five vehicles – an ER2 electric train, a gauge car, a passenger car, a TE3 diesel locomotive and a wagon for the transport of prisoners, to find out why exactly these items have entered the museum’s collection and are important to the Latvian railway industry for inheritance. During the activity, visitors have the opportunity to explore the driver’s cabin, the engine room, view the attendant’s work environment, the prisoners’ lavatories and the equipment of the gauge car.
In cooperation with VAS “Latvijas dzelzceļš”, the exhibition at the Latvian Railway History Museum will be open until October 28, 2024.
