Uncovering the Forgotten: France’s Role in Cameroon’s Independence Movement Explored

A little more than six months after its creation, the “history and memory” commission on the role and involvement of France against the independence and opposition movements in Cameroon went into the field. The French researcher and historian Karine Ramondy and the Cameroonian singer Blick Bassy, ​​co-director of this commission, met in Yaoundé some still living witnesses of this largely unknown period of Cameroonian history.
