Ongoing Dispute between Coach Nuno Santo and Player Abdul Rahman Al-Aboud at Al-Ittihad Club

Hi Koura – The dispute is still ongoing within the corridors of Al-Ittihad Club between coach Nuno Santo and player Abdul Rahman Al-Aboud, despite the many problems the team has been suffering from since the beginning of the current season.

It is a dispute that does not come at an appropriate time at all, because Al-Ittihad is bleeding badly locally and has lost many points recently, which has pushed it away from the top of the Saudi League, and therefore the entire system needs to join together in order to get out of this dark tunnel, and there is no need for any disagreements. Or internal conflicts of any kind.

Many sources close to the dean were keen to publish what was going on behind the scenes regarding the Nuno Santo and Al-Aboud crisis, and here are some details:

1- The club’s management has decided that one of the two parties to the problem will leave next January and will not allow both of them to remain together again after the failure of attempts at reconciliation between the two parties over the past period.

2- There is great dissatisfaction with Nuno Santo for his inability to contain this type of internal conflict with the players, especially because the team has enough problems this season.

3- Al-Aboud has been training individually for the past month and a half, but Nuno Santo is deliberately marginalizing him and excluding him completely from the accounts, despite the team’s need for his services in order to develop the offensive system.

4- Al-Aboud decided to leave the club because of his feeling of embarrassment, especially after he apologized to the coach, but the latter continued to ignore him without giving him any opportunity to participate in the matches.

5- The player will think about the offers that will be presented to him next January, and there is talk of interest from the clubs Al-Hilal, Al-Nasr, Al-Ahly, and Al-Shabab.

6- The club management is afraid that the player will go to one of the competing clubs in the Saudi League, because if he shines, Al-Ameed fans will be very angry because of getting rid of a talented player like Al-Aboud.
