An expert in medicinal herbs, he has been living a natural life, researching medicinal herbs and engaging in simmani activities, for 43 years after settling down on a hill (50,000 pyeong) across from Byeongsan Seowon in Pungcheon-myeon, Andong-si.

On the afternoon of the 14th, Mr. Cho climbed Sobaeksan Mountain in Yeongju, which he often visits, with his three juniors, Simmani, and discovered a pile of Cheonjong wild ginseng at 800m above sea level. According to Kim Chang-nam, a professor of herbal medicine at Mokpo National University, and Lee Dong-geun, an appraiser at the Korea Wild Ginseng Appraisal Association, they visited Andong on the 16th at the request of Mr. Cho for an appraisal. As a result of evaluating Mr. Cho’s wild ginseng, it was confirmed that it was Cheonjong wild ginseng that was over 95 to 100 years old. Cheonjong wild ginseng is recognized as the best among wild ginseng. It is a wild ginseng that germinates in nature without any artificial interference and has grown for more than three generations.
