First of all, if the charging port on your iPhone is damaged, then this will be the cause of the problem and you will have to repair it to charge it, unless your iPhone model supports wireless charging. Try putting it on a compatible wireless charger. Does the iPhone recharge the battery?
If not then you have to check and make sure that the port is clean of debris or dirt that may have entered. A common cause of an iPhone not charging, is due to fine hairs getting into the charging port, leaving no room for the connector.
You can try inserting something thin into the port. Be careful not to force it too hard because there are connectors inside. See if you can scrape off any fine hairs. A good tool to use is the SIM tray tool that comes with the iPhone, or you can use something like a toothpick.
2. The charging cable is damaged

Check whether the iPhone charging cable is in good condition or if it has been damaged. Check the cable ends and connectors. The first thing to do is check visually to ensure the cable is free from damage.
If you find something, it might be a good idea to replace the cable, especially if there is a break in the cable. If you have other cables in the house, try them and see if they work. If not, then we know that it’s not the cable that’s causing the iPhone to not charge.
