Record-breaking Overclocking: Australian Team Pushes Intel Core i9-14900K to 8GHz for Extreme Gaming Performance!

A group of Australian overclockers have been able to boost the clock speed of an Intel Core i9-14900K to around 8GHz. This allowed them to run Counter-Strike 2 at a frame rate of around 1310fps.

Team Australia Extreme Overclocking used liquid nitrogen to keep the Intel processor cool. This allowed them to increase the chip’s clock speed temporarily increase up to a speed between 7.5Ghz and 8Ghz. The i9-14900K has a maximum as standard boost clock of 6GHz, but continued to perform stable at the increased speeds. This was evident from a Counter-Strike 2 session in which a frame rate of 1310fps was achieved.

The Australian team does not set a world record with this performance. This is currently in the name of the Swedish overclocker Elmor of the TechSweden.org team. He recently managed to increase the clock speed of an Intel Core i9 14900KF tot 9043.92MHz.

Team Australia Extreme Overclocking also has a DDR5 memory module stepped up. It involved a Gigabyte DDR5-8333 memory module of 16GB, the clock speed of which was increased to 11.618MHz. The memory module turned out to no longer be able to function stably at these speeds, because it provoked a blue screen of death off in Windows. The results could be registered, giving Team Australia Extreme Overclocking a world record.
