Justin Bijlow in Discussions with Feyenoord to Extend Contract

Justin Bijlow confirms that he is currently in discussions with Feyenoord. The Rotterdammers hope to open and extend the contract of the 25-year-old goalkeeper. Bijlow’s current contract runs until mid-2025 and discussions are currently going well.

“Yes, that’s right,” Bijlow responds to a question from RTV Rijnmond whether the reporting of the last few weeks is correct. “I am of course open to it and I think you can expect clarity soon.” Bijlow made his debut in Feyenoord’s first team six seasons ago.

After going through most of the youth academy from the F-pupils, he signed his first professional contract at the age of 17. He joined the first team at the start of the 2016-2017 season. In August, Bijlow signed a contract until mid-2025 and is now accepting another offer.

Return against Vitesse
Bijlow made his return against Vitesse after a wrist injury. ”It was not a nice period of course. I started working really hard with the medical team, and that’s all you can do. The first two weeks I was not enjoying myself, but I quickly managed to recover and am now here again.”

“No, I’m not going to doubt my body,” Bijlow continues in conversation with NOS. The goalkeeper has no fear of going into a duel or of new injuries. ”I’d rather die on the field than doubt myself. I have no doubts, and I go for it every time.”
