Given the refusal to deliver the textbooks, the state government chose to give workbooks to primary and secondary school students, which it has been said have propaganda in favor of the governor of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) bench. situation that has been revealed is against the law.

An image that was spread on social networks, which was distributed by the Animal Político portal, shows that on one of the sheets of the workbooks there is a letter addressed to the students, which has the date of September at the top. right, while in the background, right in the center, the name of the current governor and who is about to hand over the baton to Manolo Jiménez is shown.

“Dear student, I invite you to make the most of the content of this material, to dedicate yourself carefully to your study and make education a more valuable asset so that you can achieve all your goals and contribute to the greatness of Coahuila,” read in the material.

Currently, the laws state that it is strictly prohibited to make government propaganda, while including messages, images, names or symbols that refer to public servants, so the governor’s letter would be grounds for being considered a crime. It should be said that the state president has not commented on this event.

While the letter from Governor Miguel Ángel Riquelme was revealed within the workbooks that were distributed among basic education students, the general secretary of the National Union of Education Workers (SNTE), Alfonso Cepeda Salas, launched a call to the governments of Aguascalientes and Coahuila to deliver the free textbooks made by the SEP.
