Search crews found a dead person in the terrain below Trolltunga in Ullensvang on Saturday. A foreign man has been missing in the area since Saturday.
A search operation was launched on Saturday for the man, and on Saturday at 12 o’clock a person was found dead in the terrain below Trolltunga, writes operations manager Eivind Hellesund in the West police district in a press release.
The police write that the person in question has not yet been identified, but that the police have reason to believe that they are missing people who have been found. The deceased will be retrieved as soon as weather conditions permit.
– Relatives have not been notified, but we are working on it. The man is of foreign origin and has no known connection to the area, writes Hellesund.
