The 89-year-old French singer announced that he was thinking of “putting down his guitar” after the end of his “Adieux Temporaires” tour which is due to end by the end of the year.
While he is currently crisscrossing France for his “Adieux Temporaires” tour, singer Pierre Perret confided that he intended to put an end to his career at the end of this series of “around twenty concerts” which should be completed by the end of the year.
If he assures in the columns of the Belgian magazine Ciné Télé Revue being “still in good shape”, the 89-year-old artist, to whom we owe the hits Le Zizi, Les Jolies Colonies de vacances and Lily, however indicates that he is thinking of “putting down the guitar” and “going a little more often when fishing.
“When I see what is happening to Arditi, who is feeling unwell on stage, wisdom tells me to stop the scene,” he told Ciné Télé Revue.

“Nothing will stop me from picking up my pen”
Pierre Perret, who made headlines last March for his song Paris Saccagé, nevertheless reassures his audience and confides at the microphone of France Blue Périgord that he “does not intend to stop writing”.
“Let’s say that it won’t be long before I hang up my guitar, but that it’s not exactly the time yet. (…) My brain is constantly stimulated by music or words that come to me. Nothing will stop me from picking up my pen,” he says.
But before bowing out, Pierre Perret intends to defend on stage his new album My old carcass, released in April. The artist will notably be in concert in Lille and Montélimar in November then in Reims and Brussels in December before concluding his tour in Ath, Belgium, on December 15.
