Vaccination Campaign Begins for Influenza and Covid-19 in Hidalgo Health Centers

Although the vaccination day against seasonal influenza and Covid-19 began last Monday, October 16, it began to be applied this Thursday the 19th in the units and hospitals of the Hidalgo Health Secretariat (SSH).

Also at the General Hospital “Dra. Columba Rivera Osorio” and in the ISSSTE Delegation, although in the latter headquarters it is exclusively administrative, it is not health care.

While the units and hospitals belonging to the IMSS in the entity will only be inoculated against influenza and, there is no date yet, for anticovid, this was confirmed yesterday by visiting the different health centers in the capital of Hidalgo.

In the first stage, 129,690 doses of the Cuban anti-Covid vaccine Abdala and 225,000 against influenza will be applied to the entity.

According to information from the SSH, Abdala is for girls and boys over five years of age. They recommend that people over 60 years of age, pregnant women and all those with comorbidities such as diabetes, obesity, hypertension, HIV, go to get inoculated, in order to avoid respiratory diseases that contribute to the lowering of defenses in the immune systems.

This inoculation campaign, both for seasonal influenza and Covid-19, will conclude on March 31, 2024, so the SSH invites the population to protect themselves from the cold, to carry out simple self-care measures.

Among them, correct hand washing and complying with your vaccination doses, which can be placed together without any problem.
