RØYSE/OSLO (Dagbladet): After the shocking claims that came from his sons on Thursday evening, Ingebrigtsen appeared at the cabin plan race where his pupil Narve Gilje Nordås is starting.
– How is it to be here today?
– It is clear that it is a mix of different things. I reckon that if we hadn’t been here, you wouldn’t have been here, says Gjert Ingebrigtsen to Dagbladet.
– Won’t be a topic
– I have been relatively spared much of what has been going on out there, but it is clear that you feel the storm. You can tell from the surroundings that there are things going on, says Gjert Ingebrigtsen to the press who were present.

How would you describe the current situation?
– It is demanding for all of us who stand in it. I think it is for everyone involved, both those who are closest and around, says Gjert Ingebrigtsen to Dagbladet.
Nightmare experience: – Scariest I’ve experienced
– What does it do to you that the sons make such claims as they have done?
– I love my children and that means I have to deal with it as any other parent would. I let these claims stand at their expense, so they get to wear those things as long as they want to wear them, says Gjert.
Will continue the collaboration with Gjert
Got support
– You weren’t invited to the wedding – how did you know that?
– As every parent would know not to be invited to their own child’s wedding, says Ingebrigtsen to Dagbladet.
– You have received support from Martin, what does that mean to you?
– I haven’t read it either, but I understand that there is something out there. It will be somewhat the same way. I don’t go in and influence, or have any views on it. The people around me must be allowed to say what they want.
– The situation is demanding for everyone involved.
– I have never feared dad
The Narve collaboration
– Have you and Narve talked about further collaboration?
– No, it is not – and has not been a topic at all.
– What is it like to focus on sports?
– It is fine. I have stood in storms in many contexts, and staying focused on sports can be a lifeline. It removes a bit of the focus that others think you have.
The race starts at 1:30 p.m.
