Miguel Oliveira (Aprilia) finished the Australian MotoGP Grand Prix in 13th position. Frenchman Johann Zarco (Ducati) won the 16th race of the season in an electrifying finale.
Jorge Martin (Ducati) led throughout the race but, on the last lap, dropped from first to fifth place, following a poor tire choice. Zarco was first, Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati) was second and Fábio Di Giannantonio (Ducati) completed the podium.
Starting from 19th place, Miguel Oliveira managed to recover six positions and finish in 13th, 19.443 seconds behind the winner.
In the general classification of the drivers’ world championship, Bagnaia now has a 27-point advantage over Spaniard Jorge Martin (Ducati).
