OMI, a member of the popular Japanese group Three Generation J Soul Brothers, made an appearance at a press interview for the release of his second photo essay book, “LAST SCENE,” on the 21st of this month.
The book features photos taken in Paris, France, a place that holds special significance for OMI as it represents a return to his roots. It showcases his hidden charms and reveals a side of him that is not usually seen. The title, “LAST SCENE,” reflects OMI’s mindset of giving his all as if it were his last, without thinking about what comes next. The essay pages are filled with his thoughts on his fellow group members, love, the changes in his mindset over the past eight years, and his gratitude towards his fans.
In addition to these heartfelt words, the book also includes a sexy shot taken in the bathroom. OMI shared that the publisher specifically requested him to do it, saying, “Please take off your clothes.” He agreed to the request, stating that it was a rare opportunity to show his personal side through this kind of expression and that he had a lot of fun during the shoot.
OMI also revealed a behind-the-scenes secret about his training routine. He admitted that he usually doesn’t do much training but for the bathroom scene, he secretly did some push-ups to pump up his muscles before entering the set.
OMI, whose real name is Hiroomi Tosaka, was born in 1987 in Tokyo. He debuted as a vocalist for Three Generation J Soul Brothers in 2010 with the song “Best Friend’s Girl.” In 2015, his first book, ”NOBODY KNOWs,” became a bestseller with over 180,000 copies sold. In 2017, he started a solo project under the name Hiroomi Tosaka and changed his solo artist name to OMI in 2021. In May 2023, he will be co-producing the debut of the girl group division of the largest audition in LDH history, “iCON Z ~Dreams For Children~,” with HYBE LABELS JAPAN.
