The Secretary of Education of the Government of the State of Yucatán (Segey) announced the call for quota for all, which is exclusive for public schools that are not the only option in the students’ locality.
The student registration is as follows: for preschool the process will be available from November 21 to 30, for first grade it is from November 29 to December 8 and for first grade it is from December 6 to 16.
In the event that applicants do not have access to the internet, they will receive support and advice through the Educational Development Centers (Cede) in the interior of the state, located in Hunucmá, Izamal, Maxcanú, Motul, Peto, Tekax, Ticul, Tizimín, Valladolid and Yaxcabá, as well as in the two centers located in Mérida.
For basic education schools that are unique to their locality, mothers and fathers or guardians must go to the school from November 3 to 21 to confirm their decision that the student be pre-registered there.
Segey recommended considering a maximum of four possible options, taking into account that high-demand schools cannot be chosen as a second, third or fourth option.
On January 30 and 31, 2024, the final assignments for preschool and primary school students will be announced, while secondary school students will know the results on June 10.
Once the assignment process is completed, for the student to be formally enrolled, parents or guardian must communicate by email or go in person to the school assigned to them to confirm their enrollment.
