With an open lesson about the judiciary, its functions and processes, the judicial academic year was opened, which will once again be held jointly by the District Court – Burgas and the District Court – Burgas. The two judicial institutions will give open lessons on law to students from Burgas schools within the educational program “Judicial Power – Informed Choice and Civil Trust.

District Court – Burgas initiated the participation of judges in the exercises of students majoring in “Law” of the Burgas Free University, with which they will solve practical cases from the judicial practice in the field of “Criminal Law and Process”, “Criminal Science”, “Property and Obligation Law “, “Commercial Law”, “Family and Inheritance Law” and “Civil Procedure”.
District Judge Radoslava Majdrakova gave the first lecture to the eighth graders from the classes with profiles “Judicial Administration” and “Criminal Science and Criminology” of SU “Yordan Yovkov”. The lecturer presented to the young people the types of courts in the Republic of Bulgaria and their jurisdiction.
The students had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the stages of the initiation of a criminal case, its entry into the judicial phase with the questioning of witnesses, the appointment of experts, the collection of evidence, the establishment of the factual situation of the act. Judge Majdrakova spoke about the possibilities in criminal law for concluding an Agreement, conducting an abbreviated judicial investigation.
The students received as a gift a booklet – the Constitution of the Republic of Bulgaria and an information brochure on the most frequently asked legal questions, such as human trafficking and methods of recruiting victims, “exploitation”, the problematic issue of drug possession, etc.
