This Friday, October 20, F1 drivers are on track to participate in free practice and the qualifying session for the 2023 United States Grand Prix which takes place on the Circuit of the Americas in Austin.
Attention ! For this eighteenth meeting of the year, the Sprint Shootout format is back in Formula 1, which means that the weekend program in Austin is slightly different from a “classic” weekend with a only free practice session this Friday and a qualifying session scheduled for the same day (click here to read the instructions for this rather special weekend).
This Friday, October 20, the one and only free practice session of the weekend in Austin [EL1] is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. (Paris time), while the session of qualifications which determines the starting grid for the 2023 United States Grand Prix is scheduled for 23h00 (Paris time).
On Saturday, October 21, the drivers will participate at 7:30 p.m. (Paris time) in the Shootout qualification, the result of which will determine the starting grid for the 100 kilometer Sprint race contested later in the day at 12:00 a.m. (Paris time) and whose result will not have absolutely no impact on the starting grid for Sunday’s race.
Finally on Sunday October 22, the start of the 2023 United States Grand Prix will be given at 9:00 p.m. (Paris time), the drivers will set off for 56 laps on the Americas track in Austin.
We remind you that all driving sessions every weekend of the season 2023 can be followed live on F1only.fr (free practice 1,2 and 3, qualifying, Sprint race and Grand Prix).
