On October 20, sources of PLOdetermined that the reason the bank account of Chu Se Water Supply Joint Stock Company (Chuse Water Supply Company) was “blocked and money was lost” was because the company had overdue tax debt, which was banned by the Tax Department of Gia Lai province. Accordingly, the Gia Lai Provincial Tax Department forcibly deducted money from the bank account of Chu Se Water Supply Company twice, with an amount of 68 million VND. Currently, Gia Lai Provincial Tax Department is taking measures to block three bank accounts of this company. According to statistics as of September 30, the tax debt this company still owes is more than 154 million VND. Of which, more than 98 million VND is overdue and must be enforced.
Previously, from September 7, Gia Lai Provincial Tax Department announced that the tax debt as of August 31 was 137 million VND, the amount of overdue tax debt that had to be enforced was more than 80 million VND.
Next, the Tax Department sent a reminder letter to Chu Se Water Supply Company, stating: “The Tax Department has urged by phone and email, but up to now the company has not paid the tax debt, fines, and late payment interest. according to the announcement. In case, by September 11, 2023, your business has not yet paid the tax, fine, and late payment interest of more than 80 VND, the Tax Department will be forced to apply enforcement measures to deduct money from your account and block it. clear the account”.
On September 18, the Tax Department issued a job offer, but Chu Se Water Supply Company still did not pay taxes. On September 22, the unit issued a decision to enforce the administrative decision on tax management by deducting money from the company’s account.
Contrary to the above content, on October 18, Chu Se Water Supply Company issued a notice to stop water supply throughout Chu Se district, with vague reasons: “The company’s bank accounts are locked. The money paid in by the country cannot be withdrawn and it is unknown where it went. So the company did not have money to pay the electricity bill (41 million VND) last September.”
Talking to reporters, Mr. Le Vinh Thinh, General Director of Chu Se Water Supply Company, said that the company’s bank accounts were locked, no longer under control and he did not know where the money went. The company is continuing to fight with the bank for arbitrarily freezing the account and transferring money to unknown places without his consent. At the same time, he said he would ask the police to get involved.
Before, after PLO With information reflecting the incident, the Gia Lai Provincial People’s Committee Office sent a document requesting the Chu Se District People’s Committee to handle the problem. Chu Se district requested electricity to extend the power cut period
On October 20, the People’s Committee of Chu Se district sent a report to the Office of the People’s Committee of Chu Se district and the Standing Committee of Chu Se District Party Committee on the notice of stopping water supply from Chu Se Water Supply Company.
Accordingly, on October 19, the Chairman of the District People’s Committee worked with this company and related units. In the coming time, Chu Se District People’s Committee will work with Mr. Le Vinh Thinh, General Director of Chu Se Water Supply Company, inviting representatives of Vietcombank, Gia Lai Electricity Company, District Police and other agencies and units. Previously, in 2016, Chu Se Water Supply Company was approved by the People’s Committee of Gia Lai province to invest in a clean water plant project with a capacity of 9,000 m3/day and night in Chu Se district. The project started construction in 2017 and was put into operation in the fourth quarter of 2019.
