Exchange rate United States dollars (US) against the rupiah continues to strengthen. The US dollar exchange rate has even recorded its highest record against the rupiah throughout 2023.
Quoted detikcom from RTI, Friday (20/10/2023), the highest level of the US dollar this year was IDR 15,887. This figure is up 1.81% from the beginning of the year.
For today, Uncle Sam’s currency opened at IDR 15,856, and closed at IDR 15,852. However, the US dollar touched the level of Rp. 15,887 today.
On a weekly basis, the US dollar strengthened 1.08%, and strengthened 3.14% within a month. Meanwhile, within a year the dollar strengthened by 1.42%.
If we look back 5 years, this is the second highest level of the dollar after the beginning of the pandemic. At the beginning of 2020, the dollar soared to Rp. 16,575.
The rupiah exchange rate against the US dollar as of January 2 2023 was recorded as still at the level of IDR 15,573. There is even a downward trend where the rupiah exchange rate will become IDR 14,880 per US dollar on February 2 2023.
But the US dollar strengthened again until mid-March and was at Rp. 15,450. The dollar weakened again until the end of April, and was at IDR 14,670 as of April 28.
After that, dominate dollar AS against the rupiah continues to strengthen with an upward trend. On July 10, the rupiah exchange rate was at Rp. 15,195 per US dollar. On August 14, the dollar had touched IDR 15,315.
