“I was hit by a car two years ago and I was on bed rest for a long time. This is something that catches my attention even more, that an adult does not take responsibility for something he did,” said Alex Cuervo, who said drivers They seem to think the stop sign in front of their house is a suggestion.

While our sister network NBC New York’s camera was recording, it captured a different gray SUV turning left without coming to a complete stop.

Cuervo said his camera was unable to capture the driver’s license plate, but police are hoping someone will see the footage and help them find the hit-and-run driver.

“I hope they are held accountable,” Cuervo said.

Police also hope to speak with the woman who witnessed the accident and helped the boy recover.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the North Bergen Police Department tip line.
