Those interested could discover previously unseen monastery halls in Vác – Dunakanyar Region

Again this year, the Piarist Lookout Center’s Night of Researchers – Treasure hunt in the monastery program attracted enormous interest. During the nearly one and a half hour research, the participants were able to visit the hidden corners of the 300-year-old building with the help of a “time machine” and learn about its history by solving the tasks of the 9+2 interactive stations of the program.

The “treasure hunters” could visit previously unseen monastery rooms: they could loot in the fort recaptured from the Turkish soldiers, they could meditate in the tranquility of the monastery with a king who founded the cathedral, they could try their hand at the monk’s post workshop, but they could test their ingenuity from the pantry to the herbarium in the archives or even in the printing press.

The purpose of the now traditionally organized program is to present the historical, cultural, and spiritual treasures of the Piarist Lookout Center building, to tour the building, and to explore and raise awareness of the strengths, values, and inner “treasures” of the participants through solving playful tasks that mobilize different (Gardnerian) talent areas.
