Marc Marquez has confirmed he will use a motorbike a year older in 2024, namely the Ducati Desmosedici GP23.
Mandalika, runganSport — Some time ago Ducati explained that they would continue to field a total of eight motorbikes for the upcoming 2024 MotoGP season.
With the distribution of four factory motorbikes for Ducati Lenovo and Pramac Racing, as well as four satellite motorbikes for VR46 Racing and Gresini Racing.
That is, one of their new drivers, Marc Marquez will get a 2023 Ducati motorbike in 2024, the motorbike that won the world title.
Now, Marquez himself has also confirmed the details of his motorbike package.
In line with Ducati, Marquez said he would get a GP23 motorbike with the Gresini Racing team.
Even though it’s just a satellite bike, it’s still better and more competitive than the team bike he left.
“Next year will be interesting. In the end, I will get the motorbike that will win the world title this year (Ducati 2023),” say Marquez to Crash.net in Mandalika.
“I will get a 2023 bike, but I don’t know how it will evolve,” continue Marquez explained.
Next year will be very important for Marquez, as it will be the first time he will use a bike from a different manufacturer in the premier class.
Marquez will use a motorbike with the same specifications as his younger brother and teammate, Alex Marquez.
Also, the same spec bikes for both VR46 racers, Marco Bezzecchi and Luca Marini.
Meanwhile, Francesco Bagnaia, Enea Bastianini, Jorge Martin and Franco Morbidelli will all ride the new 2024 Ducati Desmosedici machines. (rs/gp)
