Grand Opening: Wegmans Supermarket Chain Debuts New Store in Manhattan

This Wednesday a new store of the well-known Wegmans supermarket chain opened in Manhattan.

This morning before opening you could already see a long line of customers in front of the establishment.

The company reported that more than 600 new employees will seek to create a unique shopping experience for its customers.

“We have an official opening date and we couldn’t be more excited to open the doors to your new store, New York!” the company wrote in a social media message when announcing the opening date of the new store.

The so-called Wegmans of Astor Place, located at 770 Broadway in the East Village, has an extensive selection of food in its restaurant that includes options from sushi to Asian and Mediterranean food, including other options such as pizza and sandwiches.

The store in Astor Place is the second that the company opens in the city after the opening of its location in Brooklyn in 2019.
