The conflict unleashed between Israel and Hamas a few weeks ago has been one of the main sources of misinformation through social networks. In this context, a video from the Ministry of the Interior on how to act in the event of a terrorist attack has gone viral.

Some users have shared this audiovisual piece believing that the department directed by Fernando Grande-Marlaska had published it following the attacks that occurred in recent days in other European countries as a result of Israel’s response in the Gaza Strip.

However, the video is taken out of context. The Ministry of the Interior published it on its social networks in 2017. In the piece you can see some terrorist attacks that different jihadist cells carried out in Europe, such as the mass attack on Las Ramblas or the shooting on the Champs Elysées, which It happened in April 2017.

It is necessary to remember that, in 2015, due to the accumulation of attacks throughout the world and mainly in Europe, with France being the main victim, the Ministry of the Interior of the Government of Mariano Rajoy saw fit to raise the level of terrorist alert from the 3 to 4 over the five total levels.
