A new edition of the world’s highest paid players was recently published. Forbes magazine ranked Cristiano Ronaldo in first place with income of US$260 million, of which US$200 would be on the field and US$60 off it.
The player has been increasing his earnings since 2014, the year in which he also came first with US$73 million. He was in the position until 2017 when he recorded US$93 million. From 2018 to 2020, he was overthrown by Messi, and he took the lead again in 2021 with US$125 million.
