Dalibor Dvorsky as one of the world’s greatest talents was a prestigious signing for Oskarshamn.

The 18-year-old was selected tenth in this summer’s NHL draft and would develop in the SHL club.

It was a failure and the Slovakian forward now returns to St. Louis Blues.

Dalibor Dvorsky had to be the 13th forward in last week’s games and played only single substitutions.

Away against Färjestad and at home against Malmö it was only 1.35 minutes and 44 seconds respectively in playing time.

“Oskarshamn, Saint Louis Blues and Dalibor Dvorsky agree to break the current contract. This means that Dalibor Dvorsky is leaving Oskarshamn and traveling to North America,” Smålandsklubben writes.

Dalibor Dvorsky signed a contract with St. Louis Blues immediately after the draft and was loaned to Oskarshamn.

An unsustainable situation

The technical player has developed in Sweden since his younger years in Flemingsberg, Linköping and AIK.

The last two seasons he has played in the Hockeyallsvenskan with AIK.

“We wish Dali the best of luck in the future and thank him for the time he spent in Oskarshamn,” writes the club.

The situation in Oskarshamn became untenable for himself and St. Louis Blues who invested in him.

As tenth in the draft, he was chosen ahead of Swedes such as Axel Sandin Pellikka (17), Otto Stenberg (25) and David Edstrom (25) who have major roles in their SHL clubs.
