But the position of Israel’s supporters is complicated by the split in the West itself. Administration Joe Biden fluctuates between “hawks” and supporters of Palestine. Isolationists are growing stronger in the Republican camp, and they are actively arguing about getting involved in the conflict and accepting Palestinian refugees.
However, the United States is unlikely to accept anyone – that’s what the European Union is for. Egypt has promised to send a million Palestinians to the shores of Europe if the bombing of Gaza continues. The Europeans will be forced to pay for the restoration of Gaza; they already give the Palestinians 750 million euros a year.
