The Telecommunications Company of Cuba SA (Etecsa) announced a new international recharge special that will take place during the last week of the month, which will offer additional bonuses when recharging from abroad.
Through a statement shared on social networks, the state company indicated that, from October 23 to 28, all those who recharge between 500 and 1,250 Cuban pesos (CUP) from abroad will receive various benefits such as 25 GB of mobile data, “Unlimited” Internet and 3,000 CUP balance.
Likewise, the company indicated that these benefits will be valid for 30 days from the recharge received, and that the dollar accounts in the MiTranser wallet can be used to make these recharges.

These benefits will begin immediately after receiving the recharge from abroad or doing it yourself through MiTransfer, although they must be consumed within 30 days. Additionally, the recharge will allow the main balance to retain its standard validity period of 330 days.
Mobile data may be used to browse any national or international site, as long as it has not been blocked by the authorities of the Island.
For its part, “unlimited” Internet will only be available between 12:00 am and 7:00 am, a time that is convenient for very few.
It is important to note that the company works with the exchange rate of 24 CUP for each dollar (USD), so a recharge of 500 CUP would cost around 20.83 USD. This exchange rate is of little benefit to clients, who could use the same amount of money to exchange it in the informal market and obtain around 4,000 CUP, more than the balance offered by ETECSA.
Additionally, this balance would not count against the 30-day time limit to which the 3,000 CUP promotional gifts are subject.
