Olympique Lyonnais and adidas Unveil New adidas Originals Collection Inspired by 1995-1996 Season

Olympique Lyonnais and adidas have unveiled their new adidas Originals collection, which is inspired by the legendary home jersey from the 1995-1996 season. An outfit bearing the club’s old logo, the same one that appears on the 2024 away tunic. This clothing line confirms adidas’ commitment to highlighting the club’s history and historic designs.

Paying homage to the club’s iconic colors, red and blue, this collection proudly displays the red and blue double chevron crest which adorned the jerseys between 1989 and 1996.

The collection is made up of three new pieces, including a lifestyle version of the jersey, highlighting the old OL coat of arms. It is accompanied by a jacket and pants adorned with the famous adidas stripes. Two pieces complete the set, a t-shirt and a matching sweater, also incorporating the retro symbol.

A collection deliberately spoiled

Before the release of this vintage collection, Anthony Lopes appeared with one of the pieces. The Olympique Lyonnais goalkeeper had taken out the home jersey from the time flocked with sponsor Aosta. Although the chances of seeing this collection on the pitch are low, all of the pieces are however already available for sale on the Rhone club website as well as at adidas.
