Complaints of Screen Burn-in Issues on iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max

JawaPos.com – Following two previous findings by consumers, namely complaints of heat and bloated battery on the iPhone 15 Pro Max, other users again discovered other problems. Regarding the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, several users are now complaining that their device screens are burning.

The problem is known as screen burn-in. It does look like the screen is burnt, it appears on the screen that there is a permanent color change on parts of the display that occurs when an image is displayed on the screen for a long period of time.

This problem usually occurs on OLED screens. So, coincidentally, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are known to be coming to the market using OLED type display panels.

A number of users on Reddit and Apple support forums have reported this issue and shared images of their devices having screen burn-in issues. As seen in the image, the handset screen appears to have a shaded interface or UI.

One user, who said they used their phone normally for tasks like surfing the web, checking email, and watching videos, posted a photo of their phone with a burn-in-looking home screen and a thumbnail of a YouTube video.

Other users commented on the same Reddit thread with pictures of their phones with ghost keyboards plastered across the screen. In other words, the screen burn-in on their iPhone 15 has a shadow again when using keyboard mode.

Meanwhile, according to the iMore page, there are allegations that the high temperatures experienced by some iPhone 15 Pro Max phones at launch before iOS 17 improvements may have exacerbated the screen problem.

Your first step is to contact Apple support or place an order at the Apple Store Genius Bar, where the company’s experts can troubleshoot the problem. If the issue is considered a hardware error, you are covered by the one-year limited warranty that Apple offers with its new devices.

However, while the problem doesn’t appear to be widespread, and reports of burn-in on the iPhone 15 Pro Max at this stage are still rare, there are some simple steps to take if you experience it.
