The veteran actor is known from a number of blockbuster films, dramas and TV series, such as the Oscar winner “Piano” (1993) the critically acclaimed Netflix series “Peaky Blinders”. Neill claims that he is not afraid, but finds the situation “annoying”.

He claims that the remark was taken out of context.

Furthermore, Sam Neill says that there is great development on the cancer treatment front.
– So please don’t worry. I get a lot of messages on social media and from friends that I’m sorry for disturbing, says Neil, clearly choking on tears.
He pulls himself together again and smiles at the camera with a trembling voice:
– Everything is fine, I’m on my way to work.
Blood cancer in the third stage
Sam Neill told himself about the diagnosis in his autobiography “Did I Ever Tell You This?” which was released in March this year.
The treatment is said to have set him back considerably and contributed to him starting to write.
– I love to work. I love going to work. I love being with people every day and enjoying friendship and all that. Suddenly I was robbed of this and I thought, what am I going to do? Neill told The Guardian newspaper then.

While promoting “Jurassic World Dominion” in 2022, Neill discovered swollen lymph glands. Just weeks later, the actor was diagnosed with stage three blood cancer.
After an unsuccessful chemotherapy course, he was put on another type of chemotherapy which he must continue with every month for the rest of his life.
It is this treatment that, according to Neill, will eventually stop working.
– Happy to be alive
Sam Neill claims that working on the biography gave him a new perspective on his career:
– I can’t tell you how privileged I am to spend time with so many actors, says Neill in the recent TV interview, writes Deadline.
– So many of them I have really liked and so many of them I have really admired.
He has previously stated to The Guardian that he is grateful for life:
– The dark moments make the bright ones sharper, and have made me grateful for every day and incredibly grateful for all my friends. I’m just happy to be alive.
