Sharjah, October 17 / WAM / “Sharjah Children”, affiliated with the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Leaders and Innovators, organized a series of workshops in various fields of arts, targeting (2,114) male and female children in the age group from 6 to 12 years, in a safe creative and educational environment in its widespread centers. At the level of the Emirate of Sharjah, under the supervision of specialized artists, in an effort to develop children’s creative skills and encourage their artistic talents.
The courses and workshops aim to discover and support children’s innovative abilities and provide them with artistic skills in using various materials, the most prominent of which is: the “Digital Arts” workshop, during which participants train on how to draw digitally, design electronic characters, and insert them into a short story, so that the participant concludes the program as a designer and illustrator of cartoon characters.
As part of the drawing arts programme, the children’s fingers excelled in drawing dazzling artistic paintings after being able to learn the techniques of drawing with different colours, such as watercolours, acrylic colours, and crayons.
In order to unleash the creative side of children and promote thinking outside the ordinary, handmade arts workshops were organized, including concrete and terrazzo art, to produce innovative artistic molds. In the ceramics workshops, children learned how to transform a piece of clay into a masterpiece. This specific program aims to introduce participants to ceramic materials and techniques and learn Principles of pottery making and skills for transforming clay into creative shapes and models.
