Tragic Death of Young Woman Hit by Subway Train in Queens, New York

NEW YORK — A young woman, about 18 or 19 years old, died Tuesday morning after being hit by a subway train in Queens, the New York City Police announced.

According to authorities, the incident occurred at around 6:39 am at the station. Roosevelt Ave y 74th Street in Jackson Heights. The young woman, who was hit by an E line train, was found with trauma to her body and unconscious after the uniformed officers received an emergency call.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

No further details were released about how he ended up on the train tracks.

So far no crime is suspected and authorities are investigating the case.
