Law enforcement officers caught the perpetrator of an Islamist terrorist attack the day before in the center of Brussels; during his arrest he was seriously injured and it is unknown whether he will survive.

Details: The man was found in the Brussels commune of Schaerbeek, the federal prosecutor’s office said. His identity has not yet been officially established.
Belgian Interior Minister Annelies Verlinden said that the man had a machine gun with him. The attacker is in intensive care.
The sector in the commune where the arrest took place is cordoned off by police. There were no casualties among ordinary citizens.
It is not yet known for sure whether the neutralized armed man is Abdesalem L., who is considered the perpetrator of the terrorist attack.
Let us remind you that on the evening of October 16, a shooting occurred in Brussels. It subsequently became known that the attacker shouted “Allah Akbar” and is a supporter of ISIS. The dead were Swedish football fans and it appears that the attacker deliberately targeted them. The man arrived at the scene and fled from there on a scooter.
France, where an Islamist terrorist attack also occurred on Friday and also declared the highest level of terrorist threat, after the incident in Brussels strengthens border security.
