At least three people are dead and three others injured is the result of a multiple accident that occurred in the first minutes of this Monday in Jersey City.
The accident involving several vehicles occurred shortly after 12:30 this Monday on Paterson Plank Road near Congress Street.
The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office confirmed the fatal accident.
“The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit is responding to a crash on Paterson Plank Road in Jersey City involving multiple fatalities and injuries. Please avoid the area,” he noted in a post on the X social network.
According to preliminary reports from the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office, three people were killed, one of them was thrown from one of the vehicles.
At the site it is observed that a blue BMW vehicle and another gray KIA brand car were left on the road.
At least three other people were injured and taken to nearby hospitals.
Authorities asked drivers to avoid the collision area due to traffic at the scene.
