War between Hamas and Israel which has been taking place since Saturday (7/10) has increasingly spread to both regions of the country, especially Gaza Strip.

Worrying conditions exist in Gaza with more than 2 million people trapped inside.

The availability of fuel, water, food and electricity is increasingly running low with the blockade imposed by Israel.

The UN also warned 1.1 million Gaza residents to immediately evacuate the northern Gaza Strip because of the threat of attack from Israel. Reporting from Algeriaa “huge fireball” exploded and several airstrikes were seen in Gaza.

In the current Israel-Hamas war, two state camps were formed, namely the state that supports Israel and the state that supports Palestine. Support is shown by humanitarian aid, weapons supplies, military sent or criticism of one of the parties.

The following are countries that support or defend Palestine in the Israel-Hamas war.

1. Canada

Canada is one of the countries that will send humanitarian aid to Palestine. However, the aid sent does not mean Canada supports Hamas attacks. The Canadian government ensures that aid is truly for humanity and development for the Palestinian people.

International Development Minister Ahmed Hussen said aid would not be diverted to Hamas.

“We will continue to support civilians with life-saving humanitarian assistance, while ensuring no money goes into the hands of Hamas,” said Alex Tetreault, Hussen’s communications director, quoted from CBC News.

The aid sent by the Canadian government is in the form of food, water, medical equipment, emergency services and life-saving assistance.

2. Iran

Friendly relations have existed between Iran and Hamas since Hamas was originally formed. Iran has even become Hamas’ main supporter of weapons, military training and funds.

Reporting from Reuters, state-organized demonstrations were held across Iran on Friday (13/10) in support of Tehran’s Islamist ally, Hamas, and to oppose Israel’s ongoing bombing of the Gaza Strip.

“Death to Israel. Death to Zionism!”, demonstrators shouted while carrying flags of Palestine and the armed group Hezbollah.

Through the UN, Iran sent a message to Israel that it did not want to see a further escalation of the conflict with Gaza. If Israel’s ground invasion continues in Gaza, Iran will intervene, quoted from Middle East Monitor.

3. Turki

The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, condemned Israel’s actions in bombing and blockading Gaza. Erdogan considers Israel’s actions to be a massacre.

Erdogan said that war also has morality, but the turmoil that has occurred has violated that morality, quoted from Aljazeera.

This refers to Israel’s actions in blocking access to food and water aid, as well as power cuts in recent days.

“We openly oppose the killing of civilians on Israeli territory. Likewise, we can never accept the massacre of defenseless innocent people in Gaza with continuous and indiscriminate bombing,” Erdogan said.

Turkey itself has prepared humanitarian aid to be sent to Palestine, but delivery is being hampered. Turkish Defense Ministry officials also said they were ready to send military forces if ordered by the president.

4. China

China is on the list of countries that also send humanitarian aid to Gaza. On Friday (13/10), the Chinese government announced the delivery of urgent humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip and the Palestinian Authority via UN channels, quoted from Anadolu Agency.

China’s Foreign Minister, Wang Yi, said he would send his representatives to visit relevant countries in the region. Wang Yi blamed the worsening conflict in the Middle East as a result of the injustice felt by Palestine.

On Chinese social media there is also a lot of discussion about the involvement of the United States in the Middle East conflict which has complicated relations between Israel and Hamas.

5. Indonesia

Support for Palestine was also shown by Indonesia. Fundraising has begun in various regions of Indonesia to help victims of the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza.

The Palestinian Ambassador to Indonesia, Zuhair Al Shun, held various meetings with a number of parties to ask for assistance for the Palestinian people in Gaza. The meeting was mainly held with representatives of Arab countries in Indonesia who were expected to provide humanitarian assistance to Palestine.

The Indonesian government itself hopes that the violence and war currently occurring in Palestine and Israel can stop soon. The Indonesian government argues that the occupation of the Palestinian territories by Israel is the root cause of this conflict.

The Medical Emergency Rescue Committee (MER-C) is also ready to send five doctors to help the people in Gaza. MER-C said it would coordinate with the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Indonesian Embassy in Cairo to be able to send a medical team and humanitarian aid to Gaza.
