NIAMEY- In the return match of the second qualifying round of the U20 Women’s World Cup, Guinea won (0-6) against Niger this Sunday, October 15, 2023 at the General Senyi Kountche stadium.
Beaten (4-0) in the first leg, the Nigerians were dangerous at the start of the match. Unlike the Niger players, the Guineans did not miss their scoring opportunities. Taking advantage of an error by the Nigerien goalkeeper, Fanta Sidibé took the opportunity to open the scoring (20′). After this opening score, Guinea exerted constant pressure on the Niger team, and this pressure was rewarded in the 36thth minute when Suzanne Lamah scored the second goal for Syli National Féminin U20.
The following minutes were difficult for Samira Adam, the Niger goalkeeper. Put to the test, and despite her many efforts, she could not prevent Guinea from widening the gap thanks to a goal from Maman Sata Fancinadouno who added to the score by deceiving Samira Adam (41′).
Returning from the locker room, Guinea continued to show its superiority on the field and to control the game. As a result, Suzanne Lamah scored a double after the hour mark (67′) before seeing Nency Kourouma also score a double including a penalty goal (73′ and 91′). The match ended with this victory (6-0) for the U20 Ladies of Guinea.
Big winner (10-0) over the two matches, the Syli National Féminin U20 qualifies for the third round of the World Cup qualifiers in its category.
