In an interview with “Lebanon Debate,” Hoteit said: “The situation that has existed since the second day of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood is still the same, but there is a development in strictly applying the rules of engagement. The rule of engagement related to responding to violations is strictly adhered to by the resistance, to the extent that it does not abandon “Any action without a response.”
He considered that “the resistance took a qualitative step yesterday, Sunday, within the context of what is called militarily ‘preparing the theater of operations’, by destroying the surveillance cameras installed inside Israel to monitor Lebanese territory from 3 to 7 km. If the resistance destroyed 14 cameras, the territory became… Lebanon is immune from direct ground surveillance with cameras.”
He pointed out that “after the continuation of the adopted strategy, which is to work under the rules of engagement, but with strictness and strictness, and this is new today, that is, not allowing the Israeli enemy to commit any action without a response, and the response may exceed the limits of the action committed by the enemy, and may be more violent, because the resistance is committed to A decisive response strategy, as the resistance will not tolerate this issue.”
Hoteit stressed that “the enemy’s violations and violations of the rules of engagement have made the resistance more stringent in its application,” noting that “the response undertaken by the resistance today is in multiple forms and places. Previously, the response was in the same place, but today it has become in multiple places.”
As for the possibility of things developing? Hoteit replied: “The issue is at the Israeli disposal. The resistance’s decision is not to tolerate anything, and certainly if the Israeli enemy decides to violate the red lines, the southern front will turn from a front of waiting and operating under the rules of engagement, to a front of engagement.”
