Ant Empire: Surviving the Seasons and Building Alliances in a Spectacular Insect World

In the game, players need to survive the four seasons of spring, summer, autumn and winter and try to survive. In addition to the changes in the four seasons, the game also has changes in time periods such as night, dawn and dusk, allowing you to enjoy a diverse gaming experience.

In the game, players will play the role of the ant leader (not the ant queen, it seems), giving instructions to the ant colony, such as delivering food. However, in the forest, you sometimes encounter other ant colonies. Players can negotiate to become allies, but sometimes wars may break out due to conflicts of interest. There will also be other insects such as mantises in the game. The battle between ants and mantises is spectacular, just like a monster battle.

An ant colony can have up to 8 groups, and when the scale of the battle expands, it can even lead to a battle of tens of thousands of ants. In addition, the game also supports multiplayer games, which can accommodate up to 4 players for battle.

There is also some introduction to the ant nests in the game. According to brand manager Matthias Varjan, the ant nest has “economy, religion, life and other elements”, and it seems that the ants live a life similar to humans in the ant nest. It is worth mentioning that the stage of the game is actually a forest near Paris.

As for why Microids and development team Tower Five chose to make an ant-themed game, Matthias Varjan explained that they wanted to make a game themed around real insects. This game is very unique and hopes to give players a sense of warmth and joy when playing from the perspective of an ant. This game will bring players more than 10 hours of story content. How the story develops is very exciting.

“Ant Empire” is expected to be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC platforms during the 2024 Christmas season, and supports Traditional Chinese.
