Ranking of Electric Car Sales in Europe: Tesla vs Volkswagen vs BMW

A GROWING MARKET – Sales of electric cars battery-powered vehicles (the so-called BEVs) are gradually growing in Europe, in fact in first 8 months of 2023 they were 15.1% of the total new cars registered, i.e. almost 1 million units.

THE CHALLENGE BETWEEN THE GROUPS – But how many electric cars do individual car manufacturers sell? The answer comes to us from the data of Dataforce: in deliveries between January and August 2023 in first place we find the Volkswagen Group which, thanks to all its brands (Audi, Cupra, Porsche, Seat, Skoda and VW, for a total of 27 models) managed to find 287,855 customers, with an increase of 59% compared to the same period in 2022.
