“I try to be optimistic and think positively,” said Anna Julie Slováčková repeatedly in the last few days, after she is once again fighting with insidious cancer.
In that context, PrahaIN.cz focused on discussions on social networks, especially on Facebook, where the writer can be quickly identified in most cases. We’ve gone through roughly two thousand posts.
We did not focus on the most relevant ones, but on the current ones.
Up to ninety-nine percent of writers express their support for the 28-year-old singer and actress. They show it through messages, photos, but also through their own experiences. These reactions usually go unnoticed.
The exact opposite happens when someone opposes and declares that he doesn’t care about Slováček’s feelings. As a rule, the most violent reactions are caused by three words: “Who cares?” Several writers expressed this exact opinion. Or female writers.

The musical performances continue
“Shouldn’t she keep it to herself? It’s enough to talk about it once and not ten times a day,” wrote Jiřina L, a senior citizen and alleged cat lover. Several like-minded people can be found in a number of posts from the last forty-eight hours. Not one of them answered the questions of the PrahaIN.cz editors. Most of the debaters have always stood up for Slováček.
The singer herself did not comment on the discussions.
But the illness did not slow down her work schedule. Two days ago, she performed with her father and brother at the Trutnovský podzim 2023 festival. The reactions were fantastic, and as Felix Slováček junior stated, the concert ended with repeated standing ovations.
