The Finnish champion team TPS, represented by Pēteras Trekše, has already experienced the fourth failure this season, which capitulated away to the “Oilers” team with a score of 4:9. The visitors were able to respond to the goal of the championship’s leading floorball player, Justus Kainulainen, with their accurate shot by Aleks Ahola, but the hosts were better in the rest of the match, thus pleasing more than 800 gathered fans. At the end of the second period, the “oilmen” were already ahead with the result 6:1, and only Etu Lehtonen’s goal at the end of the period allowed the Turku team to hope for a strong comeback. Hopes were not destined to be fulfilled, as the brothers Rasmus and Justus Kainulainen soon increased the advantage to 8:2, but “Oilers” won the entire match with 9:4, thus taking over the leading positions in the tournament table. Pēteris Trekše worked in the TPS team in the second shift, not excelling in terms of productivity points, but finishing the game with a positive (+1) efficiency. Piri Kaupinen was the team’s top scorer with one goal and one assist, while Heiki Iskola stood out for the winners with three goals and one assist.
A great match was also played by another team from the city of Espoo, “Indians”, who beat “LaSB” at home with 10:4, thereby winning their fourth match in a row. Already in the first period, the “Indians” took the lead with the result 5:1, and although the guests were able to get closer to 6:4 at the end of the second period, the home team did not allow any more slack, scoring four goals in a row in the third period, achieving a safe victory. Czech legionnaire Peter Majer scored three goals and two assists in this match. Meanwhile, Jūso Keki has three goals and one assist. In the ranks of the Lahti team, Tītus Salokangas was the most productive, scoring one goal and making two assists.
“Happee” had lost their last two games, but managed to pull off a great 6-5 win at home against JYMY, even though the hosts were in the lead for most of the match. At the beginning of the third period, Artu Pilvallainen made it 4:4, but Niko Laiti put the Jiveski team in the lead eight minutes before the end of the regular time. Although Jari Haunkio equalized the score five minutes before the final whistle, Epu Suhanto returned the reins to the home team after only 22 seconds and did not let them go again.
