The team Israel reportedly continues to be alert and ready to fight against Hamas in the Gaza Strip in the near future.
Since Saturday (14/10), the Israeli military (Israel Defense Forces/IDF) has continued to remind more than 1.1 million residents of Gaza City in the north to immediately evacuate to the south.
The IDF stated that residents of Gaza City must immediately leave the area, which has been given an ultimatum for 6 hours since Saturday (14/10).
However, according to reports AFPan IDF spokesman said on Saturday (14/10) US time that the residents of Gaza City still had time to leave immediately.
The IDF accused Hamas of preventing Gaza residents from leaving and using millions of civilians as “human shields” to prevent attacks by the IDF.
Due to the uneven process of evacuating Palestinian civilians in the Gaza area, the IDF stated that a land invasion of the Gaza Strip would not be carried out by the IDF on Sunday (15/10).
According to reports Al Jazeera on Sunday (15/10), the IDF has now gathered their troops in various cities along the Israeli-Palestinian border.
Thousands of tanks and heavy military equipment are being moved to the front lines. Al Jazeera reported that a large-scale attack on Gaza could begin in the next few days.
IDF spokesman Lt. Col. Jonathan Conricus said the IDF would not change their plans to launch a large-scale military operation into the Gaza region to attack Hamas.
However, Cornicus ensured that the attack would not be carried out until all Gaza civilians had left the conflict concentration center.
“The important thing to focus on here is that we will begin significant military operations only after we see that civilians have left this area,” said Lieutenant Colonel Jonathan Conricus, as reported by CNN, Sunday (15/10).
Cornicus stated that the IDF had given more than enough time for the evacuation process to take effect. Even so, not all Gaza residents immediately moved south.
Therefore, he asked every Gaza civilian to heed the IDF’s orders so as not to become victims of the war between Israel and Hamas.
“The people of Gaza know that we have been very, very generous with time. We have given sufficient warning, more than 25 hours. I cannot emphasize enough to say that now is the time for the people of Gaza to leave,” stressed Cornicus.
According to Cornicus, currently the Gaza Strip is filled with “hundreds of thousands of Israeli reserve units” who are on standby to carry out various missions and operations.
“Our challenge and mission is to have more than 360,000 of these reserve troops, both in the south and in the north,” explained Cornicus.
“We prepare them to carry out the mission, armed, given tasks and ready to serve for any future command,” he added.
