Movement of mood: Clean and Moov Africa agents unite for better working conditions – AGP

Libreville, October 14, 2023 (AGP) – Employees of the Moov and Clean Africa companies denounced, this Saturday, during a press conference hosted by the Federation of Workers of Gabon (FETRAG), the poor management of personnel within of these two companies.

For several days, Clean Africa workers and agents of the company Interim Service Plus (ISP) assigned to Moov Africa Gabon Télécom have been desperately trying to make themselves heard, so that their working conditions are improved and respected, according to the code work. They had respectively started strike movements with the aim of challenging their managers, in order to find favorable outcomes that could satisfy them, with regard to salaries, bonuses and support. But to date, nothing concrete has been done.

Continuing their fight, it is in the presence of the media that these agents decided to speak out again, this Saturday, October 14, 2023. During this meeting, the secretary general of the Federation of Workers of Gabon (FETRAG) , Jocelyn Louis Ngoma, wanted to enlighten national and international opinion on what is really happening in these companies in the case of temporary workers.

«Workers in these companies are mistreated. We want salaries to be identical to qualifications, and equally shared in the same way as permanent workers. The agents have poverty salaries which do not correspond to the work provided in the field. And besides, they are neither transported nor supported “, did he declare.

In the interventions, the agents expressed their dissatisfaction with the situation currently prevailing within their companies.

“Compared to the treatment at the level of Clean Africa, we have suffered injustice on the issue of salaries for years. We are mistreated in direct and indirect ways. The Labor Code is being trampled on within our company. However, garbage collectors are those who are at the heart of sanitation and garbage collection. To do this, we call on the president of the CTRI to kindly take our situation into account », Said an agent.

The same demands will be made by employees of the company Interim Service Plus (ISP) assigned to Moov Africa – Gabon Télécom. “ We want Moov Africa to take its responsibilities towards us. Let him recruit us. We cannot be made to work for years from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and still have a fixed-term contract», lamented Hans Kassassa, ISP agent.
