The “Nuevo Amanecer” housing megaproject in Chillán Viejo is already 99% complete and this week one of the last visits to the 190 apartments was made by its owners, who took measurements and planned future arrangements along which will be the dream of owning your own home.
“It is a tremendous emotion to know that there is nothing left and we are one step away from receiving this house and we are happy for all the members and families who have come to see their neighborhood. It is a dream come true,” said Daniela Arriagada, president of the Committee.
Almost 17 months have been spent on the construction of the three towers of 4 floors each and which will house 64 apartments, which have an area of 52 to 56 square meters.
“Today we see joy, emotion, projection in the future because at the end of the day, behind the cement and behind the walls, what there is is a home that will be made up of old Chillan families and that they will most likely be there for the rest of their lives.” in this sector so this is a day of good news for 190 families but also for the commune of Chillán Viejo,” said Mayor Jorge del Pozo.
It should be noted that each tower has two large spaces that can be used for meetings and other festive activities, as well as beautiful green areas with games and solar lighting.
“I am very happy because people have already come to measure it, to look for ways to improve it, but they are beautiful, much larger than I imagined. Truly, this is the project that starts with a new standard of living, for people who live in apartments. I am very happy because they are very hard-working people who waited a long time. This is a joint effort and I am very satisfied to see the result,” stressed Deputy Frank Sauerbaum, who accompanied from the beginning the efforts to accelerate the construction of the housing project.
It should be noted that we must still wait for the receipt of Municipal Works and the receipt of Serviu to deliver the apartments.
“The main work is practically finished, it is in the process of being reviewed by the services, to then be passed on to the DOM reception and then to the Serviu reception and then the apartments can be delivered. So I think we are in a more or less difficult process, as we mentioned to the families because anxiety is coming, because they see their apartments built, they start measuring, they are seeing that they are going to put porcelain tile or floating floor and this is going away. go behind, because administrative things are like that. We have to deliver the apartments with all the corresponding receptions, so that they can be sure that they will have decent housing that complies with all the security measures, so please be patient with the families for what is to come,” stressed the Seremi of Housing and Urban Planning Antonio Marchant.
