Showbiz It seems that Maxime Meiland will not make a profit on the sale of her luxury villa in Noordwijk. The asking price is below the amount of the mortgage she has placed on it.
Earlier this week it became clear that the 27-year-old daughter of Martien Meiland and her husband Leroy decided to put their twenty-something villa in Noordwijk, which they purchased in February, up for sale. It was not yet known what the asking price would be for the 1927 house. Nine months ago they paid 2,175,000 euros for ‘De Meezen’, a house that Maxime herself described as her dream villa.
Funda now shows that the asking price for the ‘authentic and characteristic villa’ is 2,195,000 euros. If the buyers do not overbid, it seems that Maxime and Leroy will face a (small) loss. Because the asking price may be 20,000 euros more than what they paid for it, but it is less than the 2.2 million euro mortgage on the property. This is evident from data from the Land Registry.
In addition, Maxime and Leroy incurred costs for the real estate agent and notary and gave the villa a major makeover. The terracotta and yellow colors of the former residents (see the old photos here) have been replaced by fresher green and burgundy red. There is now also a safety fence around the heated saltwater swimming pool, so that daughters Claire and Vivé cannot simply reach it.

Dream place
Villa ‘De Meezen’ has a living area of 327 square meters. It has six bedrooms, three bathrooms and a luxurious kitchen with all conceivable appliances. There is a double garage and, as mentioned, a heated swimming pool. ‘A dream place’ is how Maxime described it. ‘The girls with their feet in the grass… In front of the fireplace in winter, just like old times. I could never imagine that I/we would achieve this. Intensely happy,” she wrote in February with a photo of the green front door. It is not yet very clear why she and her husband are now putting the house up for sale. Her mother Erica Renkema tells this site that ‘something better came her way which will take some time’, but that they have already put the house up for sale.
The Meilandjes are no strangers to moving. Maxime and Leroy quickly found their semi-detached house in Noordwijk, which they purchased in 2021, too small, after which they bought another luxurious semi-detached villa for 1.2 million. It went on the market seven months later. According to the housing site Bekende Buren, they managed to sell the property for 1.3 million euros.
